The land of Ishta'i is plauged by the sinister cult leader, The Weather Man. Using stolen magic he wreaks havoc among the lands calling it fault of the gods and goddesses of the world. Coming in at the last second of these terrible storms he "saves the day" creating worshippers by the rainstorm.

Naturally, a story with a villain also needs a hero. But 11-year-old Cyrus isn't sure what part he plays in all of this. He's a thief with a hybrid background, and that sort of thing is frowned upon in the country he lives in. Who would listen to an unwanted one like that.

When he is given a powerful object of strange and sometimes annoying power, he soon starts to realize that the people he cares for were a bit more secretive about their places in his life. They are the Knights of Ona'i, each with a seemingly random gift, and Cyrus is to lead them into battle against The Weather Man.

Somehow.

But when life gets tough you just keep moving and eventually you'll end up in the right place. Which is what all the Knights that follow the pull are doing. Moving forward with long strides and bright smiles.
